programa de LLM da NYU

Para quem estiver em SP e tenha interesse em saber mais sobre o programa de LLM da NYU.

Dear Members of the NYU Law Alumni Community,

As Chair of the Graduate Division, I am pleased to share with you some news regarding forthcoming NYU Law visits to Brazil.

In mid-October, Professor Kevin Davis will be attending the III Research Workshop on Institutions and Organizations taking place in São Paulo, and organized by Fundação Getúlio Vargas São Paulo, IBMEC São Paulo and University of São Paulo. As the Beller Family Professor of Business Law at NYU, he is an expert in commercial law, contracts, and law and development, and will be delivering a speech on "Remedies for Corruption in Government Contracting." Professor Davis regularly offers classes in our Singapore program in addition to those he teaches in New York City, where he also serves as faculty director of the General Studies program and directs the Law School's path-breaking Financing Development project.

As you know, NYU Law School has one of the most exciting and innovative graduate programs anywhere, and with our new program in Singapore we have additional scholarship opportunities for LL.M. study. While in São Paulo for the conference, we thought it would be useful for Professor Davis to meet with prospective students interested in our LL.M. programs in New York and Singapore, especially for his teaching experience in both locations of study. I would be very grateful if you could distribute the attached invitation to all those in your work place, or others you may know, who may wish to pursue graduate study at NYU Law School. We welcome prospective students who have already finished their first law degree programs as well as those who will be completing their degrees in the coming years.

At the event for prospective students, Professor Davis will be joined by Timothy Stanne, our Director of Graduate Admissions, who will be available to offer advice on the application process and our scholarship programs, as well as by recent alumni: Fernando Magno (LL.M. '07), Elisa Novis (LL.M. '05) and Beatriz Marques de Barros (LL.M. '07).

We are very grateful to our friends at Pinheiro Neto Advogados, who have offered to sponsor this event. The details are as follows:
